Fixed-Price Quote

The concept phase ends with a number that holds — because it rests on signed-off requirements.

  • Fixed price
  • Payment plan
  • Changes

How it works

Only someone who knows what is being built can name a fixed price. That is why it comes at the end of the concept phase and not at the start of the project.

What the price rests on

The quote refers to the signed-off requirements and the signed-off design. Both are part of it, not attachments. That makes it readable for both sides what is included — and what is not.

Payment by section

We invoice per phase, not monthly by effort. You pay against results you have accepted. If something runs off the rails, it shows up at a phase boundary and not at the end of the year.

How changes work

There will be changes; that is normal. We write down in advance how they are handled: what counts as clarification and costs nothing, what is new scope and gets its own small quote. Without that procedure, every change becomes a negotiation.

What a fixed price is not

It is not a guarantee that we never misjudge. It is the commitment that a misjudgement is our problem and not yours — as long as the scope does not change.

What we need from you
  • Sign-off on the requirements and the design. Without it we would be estimating on sand again.
  • Your decision on the scope of version one.
What you get

A quote with a fixed price per phase, the scope it covers, a payment plan, and the procedure for changes.

If you skip this

Without a fixed price the project runs on time and materials. That can make sense, but it moves the entire risk to you — and turns every discussion about scope into a discussion about money.
