IoT (Internet of Things)

2 Min. reading time Komplexe App-Funktionalitäten

The Internet of Things (IoT) connects physical devices with digital applications—and we develop the right apps and web interfaces for them. Whether it’s smart homes, industrial sensors, or connected devices: We build modern, secure front ends that allow users to monitor, control, and analyze devices. We rely on React Native (Expo), web apps, APIs, and real-time communication.

💡 What IoT Can Do for Your Project

IoT enables sensors, machines, or everyday devices to send and receive data—in real time, securely, and at scale. You don’t need complicated hardware development to make this happen: We ensure that your devices get a user-friendly app or web interface. This brings technology to life.

🛠️ How we work with IoT systems

  • App development with React Native / Expo for controlling or visualizing IoT devices
  • Web portals with live data, dashboards, and control functions
  • API integration with existing IoT platforms (MQTT, REST, WebSockets, BLE, etc.)
  • Authentication, permissions, and multi-device management
  • Hosting & data processing in the cloud (e.g., AWS, Hetzner, Firebase) or self-hosted
  • Optional: Integration of push notifications, geofencing, QR scanning, and offline mode

✅ Typical IoT use cases we implement

  • Mobile apps for smart home devices
  • Dashboards for sensors and telemetry data
  • Device management & maintenance overview for industry or logistics
  • Apps for remotely controlling devices via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi
  • Monitoring platforms for energy, climate, transportation, or healthcare

❓ FAQs on IoT & App Development

Do you also develop the hardware? No—we specialize in apps & web frontends that work with existing hardware or in collaboration with an external embedded team. We integrate via APIs, MQTT, BLE, or cloud services. What do I need to start an IoT project with you? Ideally, you already have devices with network access or an interface. We also help with requirements analysis and interface documentation. Is this also possible with Expo? Yes—for many use cases, React Native + Expo is sufficient, especially when communication runs via APIs or WebSockets. If needed, we switch to the bare workflow for Bluetooth or native modules, for example. What about security in IoT? We prioritize end-to-end encryption, role and permission management, secure authentication, and GDPR-compliant data storage—both in the frontend and in the cloud.
